What to Expect & What’s Offered at Nashville Addiction Recovery’s Outpatient Program

Nashville Addiction Recovery offers an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) designed for two types of patients:

  • Individuals who have completed inpatient rehab or a partial hospitalization program (PHP) who benefit from a step-down level of care before returning home
  • Individuals whose treatment is less intensive than inpatient rehab or PHP

Our Nashville IOP is located in Belle Meade and offered in the mornings, afternoons and evenings to best accommodate our patients’ schedules. Patients who receive Intensive Outpatient Program in Nashville, TN will attend three days each week. Each treatment day features three hours of therapy, for a total of 12 hours per week.

IOP patients at our Nashville location have the option of attending treatment from 9 am to noon, 1pm to 4pm or from 6 pm to 9 pm. The typical length of stay in IOP is six to eight weeks, with a goal of 32 sessions before completion.

Discharge planning begins the day that a patient enters IOP. By the time a patient has completed treatment he or she will have a comprehensive plan that identifies resources that support continued recovery.
